PARTRIDGE & WILSON CHILDREN " The welfare of the child is paramount. "This is the basis upon which all decisions are made by a court. The law acknowledges that parents generally know what is best for their children and that children are best cared for by their parents. However when relationships break down or there is a family crisis, the resulting emotional upheaval can cause disputes which need to be resolved by agreement or by the Court. The Family team at Partridge & Wilson will advise and conduct all matters where children are involved with sensitivity in order to achieve a solution which is in the child's best interests. Whether in disputes between parents, grandparents, other relatives or the local authority; we can assist you. We can advise you on contact with the child by you or by another, with whom the child should live or how you might be able to affect the upbringing of the child. We are also able to advise a parent/relative of a child who has been taken into care or put up for adoption by the local authority. Partridge & Wilson are franchised by the Legal Services Commission (formerly the Legal Aid Board) to conduct all matters involving children. Felicity Carnegie and Sonja Williams, both partners of the firm, can conduct all cases involving children and they are assisted by legal executive Rebecca Smith.
